Jo Mielziner illustration key ingredient in Vallot’s blend April 25, 2019 Auction

Lot 146, a large illustration by Broadway scenic designer Jo Mielziner, is one such lot. Mielziner’s illustrations have been setting auction records. This wash and ink illustration (above) was for the award-winning 1955 production of The Lark, for which Mielziner received a 1956 Tony Award nomination.
