Our LGBT centered auctions have a new name! VALLOTS/AFTER DARK centers queer historical art, ephemera, and cultural objects. This catalog, we are especially thrilled to have a collection of Divine’s costume dresses, accessories and other apparel, seeing the auction market for the first time since the Christie’s East 1989 sale of the famed drag queen’s estate.

From art by R.C. Gorman, Keith Haring, Greer Lankton, Tom of Finland, Marc Beard, Stephen Hale and Rex this auction spans a century of queer history and art, with prints, paintings, drawings and collectibles from a number of estates and established collections.
In a Vallots first, Lot 32 features the work of a contemporary artist, and grand prize winner of the Tom of Finland Emerging Artist Competition, Lukasz Leja.
